Odil Akhmedov appointed to a managerial position
Famous Uzbek footballer Odil Akhmedov has been appointed to a managerial position. Earlier, he announced the end of his sports career.

According to a Kun.uz correspondent, this became known during the UZ Football Awards-2021 award ceremony.
As it became known, Odil Akhmedov was elected vice-president of the Uzbekistan Football Association (UFA). He also became a member of the UFA executive committee.
It should be recalled that on December 18, the famous Uzbek footballer Odil Akhmedov announced the end of his sports career.
Odil Akhmedov has played for the Uzbekistan national team since 2007. He took part in two final tournaments of the Asian Cup. On September 2, 2015, he became the captain of the national team.
In 2011-2014, the footballer played for Anji, and in 2014-2016 – Krasnodar. Since 2017, he has played for the Chinese team Cangzhou Mighty Lions, where he moved in April this year.
On June 19, midfielder Odil Akhmedov announced his retirement in the national team of Uzbekistan.
