As a result of the fact that some of the trees were felled and some of the crowns were chopped off, an ugly landscape was formed. It is not known when and by what organization these works were carried out. Trees “decapitated” in this way now resemble telegraph poles without wires.

Such measures can completely destroy trees. As a result, the city becomes unbearably hot in summer. Moreover, Nukus is turning into a “yellow city” due to massive construction.

Kun.uz turned to experts with a request to clarify the situation. Environmental journalist Nargis Kosimova says that such pruning of trees could gradually destroy them.

Previously, a citizen who illegally cut down a tree in Nukus, was fined. Even earlier, a similar situation was recorded in the Bukhara region. Then the trees in the center of Bukhara were also barbarously chopped off.
