The talks follow agreements between Uzbekistan Airports and Pegasus Airlines to launch regular services from Istanbul to Bukhara, Andijan and Termez.
Flights to Bukhara are scheduled to begin on December 14, 2026, followed by Andijan on December 18, 2026. Services to Termez are due to start on March 1, 2027.
All three routes will operate from Istanbul Sabiha Gökçen International Airport, using Airbus A320/A321-family aircraft.
The new Andijan route will establish the city’s first regular air connection with Istanbul. In Bukhara and Termez, which already receive flights from the Turkish metropolis, Pegasus Airlines will give passengers an additional option.
No launch dates have been announced for the proposed routes to Karshi and Nukus.
The new services would also give passengers from Uzbekistan’s regions access to Pegasus Airlines’ network through Sabiha Gökçen Airport, with onward connections to destinations across Europe, the Middle East and other parts of the world.
Founded in 1990, Pegasus Airlines adopted the low-cost carrier model in 2005. Its main hub is Istanbul Sabiha Gökçen International Airport. The airline operates a fleet of 129 Airbus and Boeing aircraft and serves around 160 destinations in more than 50 countries.
