A booster dose of the ZF-UZ-VAC 2001 vaccine fully protects against the omicron strain of COVID-19, says Deputy Minister of Innovative Development Shahlo Turdikulova.

The statement came right after Uzbekistan registered the first omicron case on January 7.
According to Turdikulova, the same research results are confirmed by experts from China.
ZF-UZ-VAC 2001 is one of the main vaccines against COVID-19 which is used during the vaccination campaign in the republic.
