Uzbekistan finds a way to disinfect water

Reportedly, it can be used to disinfect drinking water in the field, when there is a risk of contamination of its source. It can come in handy at campsites, camps, or even on business trips abroad.

It is enough to lower the device into a container of water for a few minutes. Due to the effect of electrolysis of metal ions, pathogenic microorganisms in the water are destroyed.

The peculiarity of the development is that an alloy of three metals is used – this provides the highest biocidal activity against bacteria.

According to the developers, the water is safe for consumption for 12 months after treatment.
