Consulate General of Uzbekistan in Istanbul inks new memorandum of cooperation to protect rights of Uzbek women in Turkey
The Consulate General of Uzbekistan in Istanbul and the Association for the Rights of Uzbek Women, established to protect the rights of Uzbek women in Turkey, have signed a memorandum of cooperation.

The parties, in a short period of time, provided targeted assistance to more than 30 women with the support of active compatriots residing in Turkey.
Reportedly, as a result of cooperation, 10 victims of human trafficking were returned to Uzbekistan, 5 women received their unpaid wages, 2 patients treated in Istanbul hospitals were repatriated and 4 people got temporary jobs.
By signing the document, the parties agreed on an action plan to bring the existing cooperation to a new legal level.
