Driver training system to be changed in Uzbekistan
Uzbekistan will completely revise and change the system of training vehicle drivers.
President Shavkat Mirziyoyev announced this during today’s videoconference meeting.
The Ministry of Internal Affairs was instructed to review the activities of all driving schools of the republic, as well as the methodology for training drivers, and develop appropriate requirements. Licenses will be issued by the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
In addition, the MIA Academy will deal with the methodology of driving schools, the curriculum, advanced training and the quality of teaching.
The Road Safety Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs will create a database of drivers with their ratings. The driver’s rating will affect the driving school that trained him.
The head of state also instructed the regional khokims to create modern driving schools and examination centers in the regions within three months.
