Remittances to Uzbekistan set a new record in 2021
In January 2022, the volume of cross-border remittances to Uzbekistan increased by 18% to $506.1 million, the Central Bank said.

According to the regulator, in January 2022, $127.6 million was sent abroad from Uzbekistan, which is 26% more than in the same period in 2021.
In 2021, remittances to Uzbekistan reached a new record high of $8.1 billion, which is 34% more than in 2020 and 2019.
The volume of foreign currency remittances from the republic amounted to $1.6 billion in 2021.
