Audit confirms 30% of funds allocated for development of public education embezzled
The Internal Audit Service has stated at a briefing that 30% of funds allocated for the development of public education has been misappropriated.

It is noted that in 2021, 91.1 billion soums were allocated from the state budget for these purposes. Of these, 27.1 billion soums were embezzled.
All materials have been handed over to law enforcement agencies.
At the same time, it is emphasized that compared to 2020, the total number of violations decreased by 1.5 times, and cases of misappropriation of funds – by 2.6 times.
