Aydar-Arnasay lake system to be transferred to a private investor
The entrepreneur must invest at least $30 million in this project over 5 years and bring the annual fish catch to 15,000 tons.
A presidential decree “On measures to improve the management of the Aydar-Arnasay system of lakes” was adopted.
According to this document, it was instructed to transfer Aydar-Arnasay System of Lakes LLC to trust management of a domestic investor with experience in breeding unique fish species and possessing fish processing technologies within four months.
The transfer of the lakes will take place on a competitive basis with the following conditions:
- making investments in the amount of at least $30 million;
- bringing the annual volume of fish catch in the system of lakes to 15,000 tons and breeding an additional 5,000 tons of fish by installing ocean cages;
- creation of a fish production complex on the territory of Lake Tuzkon of the Aydar-Arnasay system of lakes and the launch of an enterprise for processing 3,000 tons of fish per year in this complex;
- creation of a laboratory center for increasing stocks of fish in the salt water of the lake system with the involvement of foreign specialists;
- increasing the tourist potential of the territory and expanding amateur and sports fishing tourism with the effective use of its capabilities, increasing the volume of services provided to travelers;
- conservation of biodiversity and increase in fish stocks of the system of lakes based on a scientific approach;
- carrying out a complete cleaning of collector-drainage networks on the territory of the system of lakes, etc.
