Foreign Ministry clarifies what damage the war in Ukraine can cause to Uzbek-Ukrainian joint projects
The official representative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan, Yusup Kabuljanov, spoke about the damage that the war in Ukraine can cause to Uzbek-Ukrainian joint projects.
According to him, as of January 1 of this year, 173 enterprises with the participation of Ukrainian capital were operating in the Republic of Uzbekistan, of which 96 were joint ventures, 77 were foreign enterprises. In 2021, 38 new enterprises were created.
As part of the approved targeted investment program for 2022, the implementation of 4 investment projects with the participation of Ukrainian companies was envisaged with a development forecast of $16.5 million.
“Due to the situation that has arisen, the implementation of the above and other investment projects under development will be difficult,” Yusup Kabuljanov said.
