The Embassy of Uzbekistan in Warsaw continues to evacuate fellow citizens to their homeland from Ukraine through Poland, Dunyo news agency reports.

The issue of crossing the Polish border through the checkpoint "Karchova" is coordinated by Uzbek diplomats.

According to reports, necessary conditions have been created for citizens of Uzbekistan in the accumulation point: warm blankets and medical care is being provided.

For the subsequent transportation of citizens from the Polish border to the airport of Katowice (340 kilometers), the Embassy rented 5 buses.

At the border checkpoint "Karchowa" and at the airport in Katowice, employees of the Embassy are working round-the-clock. They deal with the problems of arriving citizens and help in their departure. All evacuated citizens of Uzbekistan will be provided with hot meals at the airport.

The issue of providing an air corridor for the flight of Uzbekistan Airways aircraft to deliver citizens from Poland to Uzbekistan has been worked out. The first plane took off from Uzbekistan early in the morning on February 28.

The consular officer of the Embassy in Poland issued certificates for the return of citizens of Uzbekistan - about 30 people, who do not have documents with them for one reason or another.

Earlier, in connection with the appeal of the Embassy to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Poland, the Polish authorities took an unprecedented step - citizens of Uzbekistan flying home do not need a PCR certificate, as well as issuance of entry visas to Poland.

At the same time, the Polish side asked for understanding of the necessary procedures at the border crossing points, as well as to ensure that foreign citizens are redirected to their homeland as soon as possible.
