Uzbekistan lifts mask mandate
Starting March 1, Uzbekistan has officially lifted the mandatory mask regime in the open air.
According to the decision of the Special Republican Commission, from March 1, people do not have to wear a medical mask in the open air.
However, health authorities are recommending people to wear face masks in public transport, in large shopping malls, in educational institutions, in state and non-state organizations, in mosques, theaters, cinemas, museums and other places where there is a congestion of people.
The commission said during work hours, employees of medical institutions are required to wear masks.
