Basic foodstuff prices begin to rise in markets
The minimum and maximum prices for certain types of food products in dekhkan markets of Uzbekistan have been announced.

The State Statistics Committee conducted a study on the central dekhkan markets in the regions of the country.
As of March 10, 2022, food prices are as follows:
- Bone-in beef (1 kg) – 45,000 - 70,000 soums;
- Lamb (1 kg) – 55,000 - 80,000 soums;
- Potato (1 kg) – 3,000 - 7,000 soums;
- Onion (1 kg) – 1,500 - 5,000 soums;
- Carrot (1 kg) – 1,000 - 5,000 soums;
- Egg (10 pcs.) – 6,000 - 14,000 soums;
- Rice (1 kg) – 5,000 - 17,500 soums;
- Vegetable oil (1 l) – 13,600 - 24,000 soums;
- Sugar (1 kg) – 8,000 - 10,500 soums.
The study takes into account foodstuff prices in dekhkan markets. Prices in supermarkets, minimarkets, shops are not taken into account.
