Over 955 thousand children voluntarily vaccinated with Pfizer vaccine in Uzbekistan – Health Ministry
As of March 29, 955,407 children aged 12 to 18 have been voluntarily vaccinated with the Pfizer/BioNTech vaccine in Uzbekistan, the Ministry of Health said.
Reportedly, 559,399 children were vaccinated with the first dose and 396,008 children – with the second dose of the vaccine.
Vaccination of children against coronavirus is particularly active in Fergana (194,683 doses), Samarkand (116,261 doses) and Andijan (105,551 doses) regions.
According to the decision of the State Sanitary Inspector and the National Technical Immunological Expert Commission, children over the age of 12 are vaccinated with Pfizer on a voluntary basis since 28 September in Uzbekistan with the consent of their parents and guardians.
To date, 48,253,825 doses of different types of vaccines have been used in Uzbekistan.
