85 Uzbek migrants involved in a fight with Tajik citizens detained in Moscow (video)
Participants in the conflict were detained and brought to administrative responsibility, some of the offenders will be deported.
The Moscow office of the Agency for External Labor Migration, together with the embassy, launched an investigation into the case regarding the conflict between citizens of Uzbekistan and Tajikistan.
According to preliminary data, on April 1, a fight broke out between two workers due to disagreements, in which other workers from both sides of the conflict later took part.
So far, 41 Tajik and 85 Uzbek labor migrants have been detained. It is expected that 20 of them will be deported.
As Dunyo IA reported, the detainees were brought to administrative responsibility under the article “petty hooliganism”. Judicial bodies made a decision on administrative arrest of citizens. Police officers are also preparing petitions to the court for the deportation of offenders from Russia.
The Moscow office of the Agency for External Labor Migration, together with the embassy, is taking measures to resolve this issue through the competent authorities.
The Agency called on compatriots temporarily working abroad to comply with the laws of the host country, not to interfere in conflict situations, and in problematic or conflict situations, contact the competent authorities and diplomatic missions of Uzbekistan.
