Uzbekistan increases car production, imports up, exports down
In Q1 2022, Uzbekistan produced 68,905 cars.

According to the State Statistics Committee, production of passenger cars increased by 24,451 compared to the corresponding period of 2021.
In January-March 2022, Uzbekistan exported 58 cars to Azerbaijan, Tajikistan, South Korea and Lebanon. This is less by 8,763 than in Q1 2021.
During the reporting period, the republic imported 8,508 cars from 21 countries for $189.3 million. Imports of passenger cars increased by 5,361 or 2.7 times compared to the corresponding period of last year.
Also, in the first three months of 2022, 455 electric vehicles were imported to Uzbekistan. The figure increased by 370 or 5.4 times than in January-March 2021.
