Uzbekistan ranks 58th in global data ranking
The Global Data Barometer (GDB) has been announced for 2021.
According to the State Statistical Committee, more than 100 countries took part in the ranking.
It was noted that the Republic of Uzbekistan scored 32 points in the ranking and occupied the 58th place.
In the main modules of the global data ranking:
- Uzbekistan scored 80 points and took 8th place in the Opportunities module, which is included in the “Open data initiative”;
- In the “Governance” module, which is included in the open data policy in the country, Uzbekistan scored 52 points and ranked 19th.
The leaders of the global data ranking are:
1st place – USA (68 points);
2nd place – France (66 points);
3rd place – Great Britain (65 points).
As a reminder, the Global Data Barometer is an international study that assesses the state of development of the data sector to solve urgent social problems in 109 countries around the world.
The study was conducted from May 2019 to May 2021 with the help of over 100 international experts. Various indicators and directions in the field of data ecosystem development were evaluated – data management, ability, accessibility, use and impact of data for the public good.
