FIFA has released its latest men's world rankings, with Uzbekistan dropping 10 places to 60th. Fabio Cannavaro's side now has 1,409.73 ranking points.
Uzbekistan lost 23.11 points in the latest update after a disappointing performance at the 2026 FIFA World Cup. The White Wolves finished their campaign without a victory, suffering defeats to Colombia (1–3), Portugal (0–5) and the Democratic Republic of the Congo (1–3) in the group stage. Friendly losses to Canada and the Netherlands also contributed to the team's decline in the rankings.
Among Asian teams, Japan retained its position as the continent's highest-ranked side in 17th place. Iran is 22nd, followed by Australia in 28th and South Korea in 32nd. Uzbekistan ranks seventh in Asia, sitting behind Saudi Arabia (58th) and Qatar (59th), while Iraq (63rd), the United Arab Emirates (68th) and Jordan (73rd) trail the Uzbek side.
Spain, which won the 2026 FIFA World Cup, climbed to the top of the rankings after gaining 30.27 points.

Norway recorded the biggest rise in the latest rankings, climbing 12 places, while Tunisia suffered the steepest fall, dropping 12 positions. Spain gained the most ranking points overall, adding 121.17, whereas Panama recorded the largest points loss, shedding 60.74.
