US Assistant Secretary of State to visit Uzbekistan
A US delegation led by Donald Lu, Assistant Secretary of State for South and Central Asian Affairs, will visit Uzbekistan on May 23-25, 2022.
According to the MFA press service, the current state of bilateral relations and prospects for strengthening cooperation in various fields will be discussed during the upcoming meeting.
The parties will also exchange views on regional and international issues.
For information, a delegation led by the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan visited the United States on March 6-9, 2022.
In Washington, talks were held with US Secretary of State Antony Blinken, his deputies Uzra Zeya and Lisa Peterson, Assistant Secretary of State Donald Lu, US Presidential Adviser Elizabeth Sherwood-Rendall, Ambassador-at-Large for International Religious Freedom Rashad Hussain and US Special Representative for Afghanistan Thomas West.
