Remittances to Uzbekistan amounted to $4.1 billion in five months
The volume of cross-border transfers received by the republics in January-May amounted to $4.1 billion, the Central Bank of the country reported.
Compared to the same period last year, the volume increased by $1.5 billion or 61%.
It also became known that in January-May of this year, the country’s population sold $4.3 billion to banks, the figure increased by 59% or $1.6 billion.
At the same time, banks sold $2.8 billion to the population. This is $1.7 billion or 70% more than in the same period last year.
