SSS officers arrest eight civil servants during a meeting in Surkhandarya

According to the agency, in May, the former head of the Alpamysh mill D.A. and the head of the warehouse F.A. stole 2,884 tons of grain worth 12 billion 87 million soums. 

During the investigation, D.A. compensated for the damage to 616 tons of grain, that is, 2 billion 607 million soums. 

As part of the criminal case, the former head of the “Muzrabat grain receiving point” O.I. and the former head of the Alpamysh mill E.O. plundered a large amount of grain. They were also detained. 

Yo.O is suspected of stealing 1,166 tons of grain in the amount of 4 billion 886 million soums. During the investigation, property worth 5 billion 400 million soums belonging to the former leader was seized. Therefore, the preventive measure assigned to him was changed to bail. 

Also, two Gentra vehicles belonging to a warehouse manager and a senior plant analyst were confiscated. 

Another fact: in 2021, it was planned to introduce drip irrigation technology on 1,376 hectares of cotton fields owned by Shurchi Indenim Klaster LLC in the Shurchi district. In practice, the technology has been built on an area of   142.7 hectares, and the contractor Agro new drip LLC has not yet completed the work. But according to the reports, the work was completed. This led to the allocation of huge amounts of subsidies. 

As a result of the study, it turned out that the head of the Amu-Surkhan Basin Department T.A. and some officials working in this department deliberately took advantage of the opportunity to allocate subsidies from the state budget, in addition to 142.7 hectares, they prepared fictitious documents on the introduction of drip technology additional irrigation for non-existent 993 ha. 

Consequently, Shurchi Indenim Klaster LLC was unreasonably allocated subsidies in the amount of 6 billion 747 million 640 thousand soums and caused significant damage to the economy. T.A. was taken into custody as a suspect in the case. 

Currently, 6 billion 747 million 640 thousand soums of damage caused by officials of Shurchi Indenim Klaster LLC have been recovered in favor of the state. In this regard, the preventive measure “detention” applied to them was changed to “bail”.
