Uzbekistan’s inflation at 0.9% in June
In June, goods and services in the consumer sector increased by an average of 0.9%.
According to the State Statistics Committee, in annual terms, the growth rate of the consumer price index reached 12.2%.
In June 2022, prices for food products increased by an average of 1.1%, non-food products – by 0.9% and paid services to the population – by 0.8%.
One of the major reasons for the growth in the inflation rate is the war in Ukraine.
Earlier, on March 23, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev instructed the government to ensure price stability in the market.
