Taxpayers’ accounting system may change in Uzbekistan
A draft resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers “On measures to further improve the taxpayer registration system” has been published.
In accordance with the resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers “On measures to further improve the mechanisms for collecting, processing and storing data of legal entities, foreign legal entities operating through a representative office, branch or permanent establishment, and individuals involved in economic activities” in the State Tax Committee based on the database, a central database of legal entities, foreign legal entities operating through a representative office, branch or permanent establishment, and individuals engaged in entrepreneurial activities was launched.
According to the draft resolution, it is proposed to agree with the proposal of the State Tax Committee, the Ministry of Justice and the State Personalization Center, according to which:
ꞏ assigning a personal identification code of an individual to all persons born on the territory of Uzbekistan by the civil registration authorities;
ꞏ simultaneously registering as a taxpayer with the tax authorities in the process of issuing a personal code to citizens and stateless persons of a foreign state.
The State Tax Committee, together with the Ministry of Justice and the State Center for Personalization, ensures the mutual integration of information systems for registering individuals as taxpayers.
When changing information about the head and (or) accountant of a legal entity, an official of a legal entity is obliged to report this to the tax authorities through the taxpayer’s personal account within ten days from the date such changes are made.
