Women who attempted to sell their babies detained in Tashkent and Syrdarya regions
Women who attempted to sell their children were detained in Tashkent and Syrdarya, the State Security Service reported.
It is noted that an operative event was held in Tashkent by the State Security Service and the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
During the event, citizen A.Sh. (born in 1994), living in the capital, was arrested while she selling her child (born on June 15 of this year) for $35,000. Allegedly, the mother wrote a statement not to claim the child back in the future.
Also, an obstetrician who received $200 for helping her to carry out this illegal activity was also arrested.
In another case, an operative event was held in Boyovut district by employees of the Syrdarya SSS Department in cooperation with the Regional Department for Combating Economic Crimes.
Reportedly, citizen Kh.D. (born in 1993) was caught with material evidence when she sold her son (born in 2018) for $16,000.
Currently, criminal cases have been initiated on both cases. Investigative actions are underway.
