Deadline for public discussion of draft constitutional law extended until August 1
The Legislative Chamber of Oliy Majlis is holding its next regular session. It is discussing a number of bills relating to the socio-political life of the country.
At the meeting, it was decided to extend the deadline for public discussion of the draft constitutional law until August 1.
The amendments and additions proposed in the bill cover more than sixty articles of the Constitution of Uzbekistan. It defines many norms, such as improving human dignity, ensuring the well-being of the population and boosting sustainable economic development.
The state provides a favorable business and investment climate, conditions for the development of entrepreneurship, protection of fair competition and prevention of monopolization in economic activity.
The draft constitutional law reflects the norms aimed at further improving the foundations of state power, strengthening the powers of the parliament, and ensuring the active participation of citizens in the law-making process.
