New power plant under construction in Syrdarya region
The project is being implemented by the Saudi company ACWA Power through 100% direct investment. The station will generate 12 billion kWh of electricity per year.

The project will save 1.1 billion cubic meters of natural gas per year through the use of the most advanced energy-saving technologies, the Ministry of Energy says.
The station is being built on 55 hectares of land in the city of Shirin, Boyovut district and is scheduled to be put into operation by the end of 2023.
Currently, the project has been implemented by 44%. The facility employs 1,500 workers.
