Over 77,000 license plates worth 174 billion soums sold in Uzbekistan in six months
The most expensive license plate was sold for 348 million soums, the cheapest – for 550 thousand soums.
In January-June 2022, more than 77,000 license plates were sold for 174 billion soums through online auctions, UZEX reported.
Sales of license plates increased by 10% in quantitative terms and by 27% in monetary terms. The average cost of one transaction amounted to 2.2 million soums.
93% of license plates were purchased by individuals, 7% - by legal entities. The most expensive license plate was sold for 348 million soums, the cheapest – for 545.4 thousand soums.
Reportedly, premium class license plate sales accounted for 29% of all transactions, second class plates for 22%, third class plates for 13% and the remaining 36% for all the other license plates.
In terms of regions, the largest number of license plates was sold in the city of Tashkent and Tashkent region (45%), Samarkand (8%), Bukhara, Fergana and Kashkadarya regions (6% each).
