Amount of cash rewards for winners of international chess competitions determined
On August 5, the President of Uzbekistan signed a decree “On additional measures for further promotion and development of chess”.

According to the document, the winners of the World Chess Olympiad for a gold medal - 600 million soums for an athlete, 300 million soums for a coach, for a silver medal - 300 million soums for an athlete, 150 million soums for a coach and a bronze medal - 150 million soums for an athlete, 75 million soums for a coach.
To the winners of the competitions from the International Chess Federation:
ꞏ gold medal - 90 million soums for an athlete, 45 million soums for a coach;
ꞏ silver medal - 45 million soums for an athlete, 22.5 million soums for a coach;
ꞏ bronze medal - 22.5 million soums for an athlete, 10.5 million soums for a coach.
Asian tournaments from FIDE:
ꞏ gold medal - 21 million soums for an athlete, 10.5 million soums for a coach;
ꞏ silver medal - 10.5 million soums for an athlete, 5.25 million soums for a coach;
ꞏ bronze medal - 5.25 million soums for an athlete, 2.6 million soums for a coach.
Upon receiving the title of grandmaster, 30 million soums are paid.
It should be recalled that the men’s team of Uzbekistan won the first ever gold medal at the World Chess Olympiad.
