Uzbekistan increases tea imports
The major supplier of tea to the market of Uzbekistan is China.

In the first of 2022, Uzbekistan imported 16.1 thousand tons of tea from 21 foreign countries for $21.8 million, the State Statistics Committee said.
According to the committee, tea imports increased by 788 tons compared to the same period last year.
During the reporting period, China topped the list of tea suppliers by a considerable margin with 13.2 thousand tons. Kenya exported 940 tons of tea to Uzbekistan and Iran – 432 tons.
The figure for other suppliers looks relatively moderate:
- India - 337 tons;
- Indonesia - 292 tons;
- Sri Lanka - 215 tons;
- Russia - 149 tons;
- Vietnam - 126 tons;
- Kazakhstan - 124 tons;
- UAE - 111 tons.
