VAT rate to be reduced to 12% from January 1
In the open dialogue of the President with entrepreneurs, it was noted that one of the most problematic issues for small and medium-sized businesses is related to the calculation and return of value added tax.
In the 2021 open dialogue with entrepreneurs, the President promised to continue the policy of reducing the tax burden on business and further reduce the value added tax rate.
“I must say frankly, there were those who suggested that “the economy has not yet fully recovered due to the pandemic, the situation in the world economy is not good, so let’s postpone it”.
But I can assure you: we will never back down from the path of reforms and from January 1, 2023, we will lower the rate of value added tax to 12%,” Shavkat Mirziyoyev said.
