10 more people involved in Karakalpakstan riots released on parole
The number of citizens whose detention was changed to house arrest at the request of the deputies has reached 34.

Today, on August 30, at the request of the Oliy Majlis commission for studying the events in Karakalpakstan and the Jokargy Kenes, 10 more people who were involved in mass riots in Karakalpakstan were released on the basis of public guarantees.
Earlier on the same day, the Prosecutor General’s Office changed the preventive measure of imprisonment of 24 citizens to preventive measure in the form of house arrest based on the principle of humanitarianism.
Thus, 34 people returned to their families.
It should be reminded that the list submitted to the Prosecutor General’s Office was formed based on the study of appeals made to the commission by the family members of the persons suspected of participation in the demonstrations and personal interviews with the suspects.
