An employee of Zangiota district khokimiyat arrested for accepting $18,000 in bribe 

In the course of an operative event carried out by the SSS department of Tashkent, an employee of the Zangiata district khokimiyat was detained while receiving $18,000 for preparing fake documents on the study of two applicants at a higher educational institution in Kyrgyzstan, as well as for assistance in transferring their studies to one of the capital’s universities.

In addition, a resident of Tashkent, the head of an LLC that assists in admission to foreign universities, entered into an agreement with a citizen of Kazakhstan to prepare a document on the completion of the first year in one of the universities of Kazakhstan. He was detained during an operative event carried out jointly with the city department for combating economic crimes and the SSS Department of Tashkent upon receipt of 4 receipts indicating the transfer of 9 million soums to the LLC account number and $1,900 under the name of a Kazakh citizen.

A third-year student of one of the prestigious universities of the capital was also detained while receiving $2,000 from two citizens for preparing fake documents on the completion of the second year in one of the universities of Kazakhstan, on the basis of which it was promised to transfer his studies to a private university in Tashkent.

On the above facts, criminal cases have been initiated. Investigate activities are underway.
