Xi Jinping to pay a state visit to Uzbekistan
President of the People’s Republic of China Xi Jinping will pay a state visit to Uzbekistan next week.
According to Kun.uz, it is planned to sign a number of documents at official events within the framework of the state visit to be held in Tashkent.
After that, the Chinese leader will participate in the summit of the leaders of the SCO member states, which will be held in Samarkand.
The summit is scheduled for September 15-16. The SCO leaders will meet face-to-face for the first time since 2019 due to the pandemic. The 2020 and 2021 summits were held online.
For information, Xi Jinping has not traveled abroad since the beginning of 2020 due to the pandemic.
