Uzbekistan sees 2.6 million mobile phone imports over eight months
According to preliminary data from the Statistics Agency, Uzbekistan imported about 2.6 million mobile phones from January to August 2024, with a total value of $236.2 million.
This represents a significant increase in mobile phone imports, with 318,579 more units compared to the same period last year.
China remains the largest exporter of mobile phones to Uzbekistan, accounting for 2.1 million units. Vietnam followed with 405,500 units, while India supplied 70,300 units.
Other notable contributors include Hong Kong with 27,100 units and the UAE with 3,400 units.
