The first regular flight to Muynak Airport in 30 years will be operated on Sept 12.
Uzbekistan Airways launches a new flight on the Nukus-Muynak route, the air carrier said.
Flights will be operated once a week – every Monday, starting from September 12.
Schedule:
departure from Nukus - 9:45, arrival in Muynak - 10:45;
departure from Muynak - 11:25, arrival in Nukus - 12:25.
The regional flight in Karakalpakstan will be the first regular flight for Muynak Airport in 30 years. The air harbor has not served passengers since the early 1990s, although it accepted a test flight in 2020.
At the beginning of 2022, the reconstruction of Muynak Airport was completed. Shavkat Mirziyoyev got acquainted with the results of the work during his February trip to Karakalpakstan. Back then, he proposed to establish air communication between Tashkent - Muynak - Nukus.
