MIA denies rumors about closure of entry and exit to Tashkent city and neighboring regions
News about the closure of entry and exit to the city of Tashkent and neighboring regions on September 12, from 24:00 was spread on social networks. The Ministry of Internal Affairs stated that this information was ungrounded.
According to the MIA press secretary, Shohrukh Giyasov, the videos circulating on social networks show the work of explaining the ways to bypass the city of Samarkand within the framework of the SCO summit.
“We ask you to get all the information about changes related to the SCO summit from the official sources of the government offices,” the report reads.
Prior to that, it was announced that the entrance to Samarkand city will be closed for transit vehicles on September 14-17 this year.
As the Ministry of Internal Affairs reports, a roundabout will be organized for transit vehicles.
It is noted that this is being done in connection with holding the summit of leaders of SCO member states in Samarkand.
Earlier, citizens who wanted to visit Samarkand were asked to postpone their visit.
