SCO summit kicks off in Samarkand

The President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev is chairing the meeting. He welcomed all the participants warmly.

The event is being attended by the leaders of Uzbekistan, India, Kazakhstan, China, Kyrgyzstan, Pakistan, Russia and Tajikistan. All of them arrived in Samarkand on the eve of the summit.

Heads of several observer states and guest countries were also invited to Samarkand.
