Uzbeks who received Russian citizenship less than 10 years ago may be required to perform military service in Russia
In Russia, they proposed sending immigrants with Russian citizenship to the army, a member of the Human Rights Council under the President of Russia Kirill Kabanov reported.
He claims that he is preparing a corresponding proposal within the framework of the partial mobilization announced by Vladimir Putin.
The member of the Human Rights Council specified that it is proposed for immigrants from Central Asia to make compulsory military service for a year. We are talking about former citizens of Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan.
“The implementation of this initiative will be an adequate response to the official ban by the authorities of the above countries on the participation of their citizens in the SMO on a voluntary basis, for which they face criminal punishment in their homeland,” Kirill Kabanov said.
In case of refusal, he proposes to deprive them and their families of Russian citizenship. In his opinion, it will be fair.
It should be recalled that September 21, Vladimir Putin announced a partial mobilization in Russia.
Kun.uz correspondents also told what will happen to those who have Uzbek and Russian passports.
