Special plane with humanitarian cargo for flood victims leaves Termez for Pakistan
This morning, September 29, a plane flew from Termez to Karachi with humanitarian aid provided by the Government of Uzbekistan and the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) to those affected by catastrophic floods in Pakistan.
According to Kun.uz correspondent, this is the first joint air transportation of humanitarian aid. It is organized on aircraft provided by the Defense Ministry of Uzbekistan.
More than 15 tons of refugee housing modules are on board to provide temporary shelter for those whose homes were destroyed by the floods.
It should be recalled that on September 1, an IL-76 plane of the Air Force of Uzbekistan landed at the international airport in Islamabad with humanitarian cargo for the flood-affected regions of Pakistan.
Humanitarian aid in the amount of 40 tons was sent on behalf of President Shavkat Mirziyoyev. The cargo was received at the airport by Federal Minister for Science and Technology Agha Hassan Baloch.
