Entrepreneur organizes a mining farm in Samarkand, illegally uses electricity
The damage caused by the entrepreneur’s illegal actions is estimated at 1.1 billion soums. A criminal case has been initiated.
Allegedly, in the Kushrabat district, an LLC organized a mining farm for the extraction of cryptocurrency and illegally used electricity, the press service of the Department for Combating Economic Crimes reported.
During the pre-investigation check, it turned out that the head of the LLC arbitrarily installed a transformer, 63 units of cryptocurrency mining equipment, and two water pumps on the territory of the Kushrabat district.
According to preliminary estimates, the damage caused to the state by the entrepreneur’s illegal actions is estimated at 1.1 billion soums.
On this fact, a criminal case was initiated under Article 185-2 of the Criminal Code (Violation of the rules for the use of electrical, thermal energy, gas, water supply). An investigation is underway.
