The government decision “On measures to further improve the procedures for writing civil status certificates” was adopted.
The procedure for registering births through medical institutions in civil registration departments will be introduced from January 1, 2023 in Tashkent, and from June 1, 2023 in the entire territory of the republic.
A certificate with a QR-code image is issued by medical institutions stating that the state of birth has been registered in the registry offices, and this certificate is equivalent to a birth certificate with an emblem, and it is prohibited to refuse its acceptance by state bodies and organizations.
A legal experiment will be conducted to accept applications for registration of marriage and divorce through district (city) state service centers in Syrdarya region. The legal experiment will be carried out from November 1, 2022 to July 1, 2023.
The decision approved the temporary administrative regulation on the procedure for accepting applications through state service centers for registering marriages and divorces. When an application for marriage is filed, the procedure for notifying the mahalla at the place of residence of the persons getting married has been canceled.
