Average cost of renting a house in Tashkent and regions announced
To date, more than 96,000 residential lease agreements have been officially registered.
In Tashkent, the average cost of renting a house is 1 million soums, the press service of the State Tax Committee reports.
The committee also recalled that from January 1, 2022, individuals are required to register with the tax authorities lease agreements or gratuitous use of real estate through the E-ijara service.
As of October 1, 2022, over 96,000 residential lease agreements were registered with the tax authorities.
An analysis of the available information showed that the average cost of monthly housing rental in Tashkent is just over 1 million soums. In the regions, the average amount of rent varies from 630,000 to 977,000 soums.
Rental fees in the republic:
- at a price of 2 to 5 million soums - 3,240 residential properties;
- over 5 million soums - 255 residential facilities.
For tax purposes in 2022, for individuals who rent out property, minimum rental rates for 1 sq. meter of living space has been established:
- in Tashkent - 15,500 soums;
- in Nukus and regional centers - 9,500 soums;
- in other settlements - 4,000 soums.
The committee emphasized that income from property rental is included in property income and is subject to personal income tax at a rate of 12%. Only those who rent out housing to students do not pay income tax.
It should be recalled that earlier the Ministry of Justice reacted to the increasing cases of forced eviction of tenants by landlords due to the influx of foreigners.
