On October 1, the body of an 18-year-old girl was found in a canal flowing through the territory of the Kamolot mahalla, Pastdargom district, the press service of the Prosecutor General’s Office reported.
According to the supervisory authority, a forensic medical examination has been scheduled. Employees of the Pastdargom district prosecutor’s office are conducting a pre-investigation check.
There were reports on social networks that the girl had been raped earlier. Relatives believe that she was killed, as there are bodily injuries on her body. In particular, in their opinion, the girl was strangled.
In addition, in August, the girl’s relatives filed an application with law enforcement agencies and wanted to report the fact of rape, but the case was suspended.
The PGO press service stated that a legal assessment would be given.
