UAE authorities arrest three Uzbek nationals for alleged involvement in Israeli rabbi’s murder
Authorities in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) have detained three citizens of Uzbekistan suspected of involvement in the death of Israeli rabbi Zvi Kogan, whose body was discovered on November 24. The UAE Ministry of Interior confirmed the arrests and announced that the case has been referred to the public prosecution for further investigation.

The suspects, all citizens of Uzbekistan, were shown in official images with blindfolds and restraints. However, the charges against them and the motives behind the alleged crime remain unclear.
Circumstances of the incident
Rabbi Zvi Kogan, 28, a UAE resident and also a Moldovan citizen, had been reported missing on November 21, last seen in Dubai. His body was found three days later under circumstances that have not been disclosed.
Local authorities reported that Kogan had lived in the UAE for several years and was affiliated with the Chabad movement, an Orthodox Jewish organization based in New York. He was active in supporting the Jewish community in the UAE, which has seen a growing presence in recent years.
The UAE Ministry of Interior stated that the case is under investigation, with the details being handled by the public prosecution. No further information has been provided regarding the motives or evidence linking the suspects to the crime.
Neither the Embassy of Uzbekistan in the UAE nor the consulate have commented on the incident yet.
