According to the press service of the regional administration, due to an individual explosion in a warehouse belonging to the Ministry of Defense in Sirdarya district, the windows of several houses and shops near the area were broken, and some light constructions of the buildings were also damaged.

“At the same time, with the involvement of regional sector leaders and specialists of other official organizations, the neighborhoods located around the military unit are covered, and the necessary measures are being taken to determine the damage caused to citizens, business entities, enterprises, institutions and organizations and to eliminate them in a short period of time,” the report reads.
The press service of Health Ministry reported that 16 people were injured as a result of the explosion in Syrdarya, and they were immediately provided with emergency medical care.
“At 5:01 a.m., the emergency medical department of the district received a report about the explosion that occurred in Malik mahalla, Sirdarya district, Sirdarya region.
After that, 12 out of 16 patients injured as a result of this incident were brought to the medical association of Sirdarya district. All the injured were given first aid immediately.
In particular, 5 citizens were treated in the emergency department of the Syrdarya District Medical Association, and 7 patients received outpatient care. Also, 4 patients were placed under inpatient observation at the Sirdarya branch of the Republican Emergency Medical Research Center,” the report said.
It is said that there are no seriously injured patients among the victims, and qualified doctors from the Republican Emergency Medical Research Center and its Syrdarya branch have been mobilized to the Syrdarya District Medical Association.
The Ministry of Health has taken over the situation of these patients.
The Ministry of Defense reported that military experts are investigating the explosion that occurred in the DC of a military unit in Malik settlement of Sirdarya region.
“It should be noted that the stock of ammunition in the military unit is stored in modern special warehouses that meet security requirements and comply with state standards. Their safety is fully ensured,” the report said.
