Uzbekistan’s sugar imports up
During the period from January to September 2022, Uzbekistan imported 48,600 tons of sugar from 10 countries for $33.2 million.

According to the data of the State Statistics Committee, sugar imports increased by 25.3 thousand tons compared to the corresponding period of 2021.
Major suppliers of sugar to the market of Uzbekistan over the nine months:
- India - 24 thousand tons
- Pakistan - 11 thousand tons
- UAE - 6.8 thousand tons
- China - 3.8 thousand tons
- Iran - 1.9 thousand tons
