Russian-Israeli billionaire claims Uzbekistan is assembling Iranian drones; MP Alisher Kadirov calls it slander

Leonid Nevzlin, a former Russian billionaire living in Israel, in an interview with Ukrainian journalist Dmitry Gordon, claimed that military drones are being assembled in cooperation with Iran at a factory in Uzbekistan. These drones are said to be supplied to Russia, which is attacking Ukraine. Alisher Kadirov, the deputy speaker of the Legislative Chamber of Oliy Majlis, called it slander and asked the Ministries of Foreign Affairs and Defense to officially reject it.

“Iranian military drones are assembled at military factories in Iraq and Uzbekistan before being delivered to Russia. Surface-to-surface missiles are also being attempted or are already being delivered. This is now the special news.

Recently, two soldiers of the Iranian army – a colonel and a general – were killed. They are said to be responsible for the production of drones in Iran. Such things do not happen by chance,” Nevzlin said in an interview published on October 26.

Gordon asked about the possibility of Israel striking factories in Iran, Iraq and Uzbekistan where drones are manufactured and assembled.

“I can’t say anything about Uzbekistan. Because it is a neutral and friendly country. I don’t know if Israel knows that drones are being assembled there, I hope they do. An ultimatum by Israel and America will be enough for them. And they will stop it.

As for the areas of Iraq and Syria, Israel may be ready to launch missile strikes on these areas without any doubt. Other weapons warehouses that are not in the territory of Iran and others should also expect,” the former Russian billionaire said.

Alisher Kadirov, Deputy Speaker of the Legislative Chamber of Oliy Majlis, said that such information should not be ignored and that Uzbekistan does not support Russian aggression in any way.

“This baseless and irresponsible announcement should not be ignored.

Our citizens and the whole world have understood very well that Uzbekistan does not support Russian aggression in any form, its neutral position supports negotiations and territorial integrity,” he said.

Also, the deputy of Oliy Majlis emphasized that the Ministries of Foreign Affairs and Defense should officially reject this slander.

“The Ministries of Foreign Affairs and Defense should officially reject this slander and force Gordon to apologize,” Alisher Kadirov.

Kun.uz has sent a request to the Ministry of Defense, Defense Industry Committee and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan regarding this situation and is waiting for an explanation.

For information, earlier there were reports that Tajikistan is launching the production of Iranian drones following the escalation of the conflict with Kyrgyzstan.
