Ministry of Energy: Greenhouses disconnected from gas supply will be re-supplied with gas within 1 day

After the President’s assignment, during the meeting held by Sardor Umurzakov, businessmen who own greenhouses were also heard. They expressed their suggestions regarding the problems they are suffering from, the painful issues in their work.

It is known that “Khududgaztaminot” JSC has disconnected 268 greenhouses on 700 hectares from natural gas. As a result of this, 70,000 tons of harvest, $30 million worth of exports will be lost, and most importantly, about 10,000 people working in greenhouses cut off from gas may lose their jobs.

Taking this into account, the Ministry of Energy was instructed to resupply gas to all greenhouses cut off from gas supply within 1 day.

Also, the Accounts Chamber, together with the relevant law enforcement bodies, was instructed to give a legal assessment of the actions of the heads of regional departments of “Khududgaztaminot” JSC in connection with this situation, and to consider the issue of holding them accountable in a legal manner if signs of crime are detected in their actions.
