The State Tax Committee answered several questions about the cashback system. It also provided information on the changes made to the “Tax” mobile application.
At the press conference held on October 29, the State Tax Committee informed journalists about cashback and the “Tax” mobile application.
Reportedly, since the beginning of the year, 1,453,872 citizens have been paid more than 514 billion soums of cashback. From January 1 to October 24 of this year, 560,683,595 receipts were issued through online-NKT, which is 86% more than in the same period last year (301,673,214).
For which receipts cashback is not returned?
Cashback is provided for receipts received when making a purchase at retail, catering and consumer service facilities. However, there are also exceptional cases. In particular, the purchase of cars, air and railway tickets, payment for utility and communication services, as well as if more than 10 days have passed since the receipt was issued, or if the purchased goods (services) were previously considered cashback for the receipt, in addition, receipts of suspicious buyers included in the register by the STC are not considered cashback.
Cash back for tourism
“Cashback for Tourism” platform was launched as part of the “Travel across Uzbekistan!” program. According to it, local tourists can get back from 15% to 50% of the expenses spent on traveling around the republic.
New features in the “Tax” mobile application
Currently, individuals can pay property tax and land tax through the mobile application.
In addition, self-booking, registration of rental contracts for students, and vehicle rental functions have been added to the application.
The ability to receive information on debt and make payments for several other types of taxes has been developed:
- Property and land taxes for individuals;
- Income tax on the income of individuals from property lease;
- Income tax based on submitting a declaration of total annual income;
- Social tax for self-employed persons;
- Income tax strictly determined for self-employed persons;
- Surcharge. For this purpose, before making payment, the owner of the real estate (land plot) must show his PINFL number, and self-employed persons must undergo authorization through Face ID. The system will automatically reflect the existence or non-existence of debt. After the payment is made, all receipts are stored in the “History of Paid Taxes” section.
